Bicycle accessories are often installed piece by piece, resulting in a cluttered and disorganized look. To address this issue, the Mix Mudguard integrates multiple functions into a single design, creating a cohesive and stylish bicycle accessory. While mudguards are not always necessary, they are essential for riding in poor weather conditions or off-road terrains. With this in mind, the Mix Mudguard can be flexibly removed and installed on a high-brightness warning light, providing a better visual warning effect.

What sets the Mix Mudguard apart is its integration with a rear light. While rear lights are typically standalone devices, the Mix Mudguard allows for quick and easy installation when weather conditions deteriorate. By projecting the warning light onto the translucent mudguard, a larger warning area is created, enhancing safety when riding in poor weather.

The Mix Mudguard is made of durable plastic PP materials, ensuring resistance to intensive shaking caused by movement. It offers stability and can be securely fixed on the bicycle, even in the event of a slight collision. The warning lights are made of ABS materials, providing strong support and stability. The transparent light cover is made of PC plastic, allowing light to penetrate and form a larger warning area. The mudguard and light components are easily assembled without the need for tools or instructions.

The Mix Mudguard comes in various specifications, with the rear lights measuring 40mm x 98mm x 65mm, the front mudguard measuring 83mm x 570mm x 127mm, and the rear mudguard measuring 83mm x 520mm x 50mm.

The design process for the Mix Mudguard began in February 2017 and is expected to be completed by July 2018. It will be showcased at the Taipei Bicycle Exhibition in October 2018. Extensive research was conducted, including interviews with bicycle users. Feedback revealed that users found the multitude of accessories cumbersome and the assembly process difficult. In response, the Mix Mudguard was designed to be easily adjustable according to individual needs, addressing these concerns.

The Mix Mudguard presented several challenges, particularly in projecting the light onto the mudguard without compromising visibility. However, the designers overcame this challenge by increasing the light's area, ensuring safer night rides. The design also prioritizes simplicity and ease of installation, seamlessly integrating with the bicycle's appearance without the need for additional components or tools.

The Mix Mudguard has received recognition for its innovative design, winning the Iron A' Design Award in the Sporting Goods, Fitness, and Recreation Equipment category in 2018. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements, contributing to a better world.
